Common device troubleshooting guide

If MPCVault isn’t working as expected, you can try these self-help steps:

For the App

Restart your device

Restart your mobile device to clear any temporary glitches that might be affecting the app's performance.

Verify the device time and time zone

Make sure the time and time zone are set correctly. Time discrepancies, especially across time zones, can affect Google services and cause login errors. Adjusting the time can help.

Check network connection

If data isn’t loading, try switching between networks (Wi‑Fi vs. mobile data) or temporarily disable any VPN to ensure a stable connection.

Update the app

Verify that you are using the latest version of the MPCVault app. Older versions may have compatibility issues and could prevent the app from functioning properly.

Review permissions

Confirm the app has the necessary permissions (storage, network, camera, etc.). Incorrect or missing permissions can prevent features from working properly.

For the Web

Try a different browser

If you are using MPCVault on the web, try accessing it through a different browser such as Chrome, Firefox, or Safari to rule out browser compatibility issues.

Clear browser cache

Clear your browser’s cache and cookies, as temporary data may interfere with proper functionality.

Check network connection

If data isn’t loading, try switching between networks or temporarily disable any VPN to ensure a stable connection.

For the Browser Plugin

Close other wallet extensions

If you click “Connect Wallet” and MPCVault doesn’t launch, disable any other wallet extensions in your browser. These extensions may conflict with MPCVault plugin, preventing it from functioning properly.

Check for updates

Ensure you have the latest version of the plugin installed, and that your browser is up to date.

Refresh the dApp page

If the dApp isn’t connecting, try refreshing the dApp page and retrying.

Restart the extension

Open your browser’s extensions manager, locate the MPCVault plugin, then: Turn it off → Wait a few seconds → Turn it back on
