# TRON Wallet

> Activate your TRON wallet and understand bandwidth and energy fees.

## Account Activation

New TRON wallets must be activated before use. Send TRX or TRC-10 tokens to the new address to activate it. Activation costs 1 TRX plus bandwidth fees.

  TRC-20 tokens (USDT, USDC) do not activate accounts. You must send TRX or TRC-10 tokens first.

## Network Fees

TRON uses bandwidth and energy instead of gas fees.

| Bandwidth | Required for all transactions         | 600/day per account |
| Energy    | Required for smart contracts (TRC-20) | None                |

  If you lack bandwidth or energy, TRX is automatically burned to cover fees.

### Typical Costs

A TRC-20 transfer (e.g., USDT) requires \~345 bandwidth and \~64,285 energy:

* Burning TRX directly: \~13.61 TRX
* Purchasing energy on MPCVault: 6 TRX for 65,000 energy

### Buy Energy on MPCVault

1. Go to **Wallets** and select your TRON wallet.
2. Click **Buy Energy**.
3. Sign the transaction in the mobile app.
